Puttshack: Boston Seaport Opens in November

As many of you know, today’s restaurant guest is looking for an experience. Some entrepreneurs have taken the demand for dining entertainment and notched it up a bit, providing unrivaled restaurant dining experiences that include activities centered around high-tech sports, games, competition, and upscale food and drinks. Puttshack is one such brand – a leader in the competitive socializing market.

A New Location in Boston Seaport

Puttshack, the world’s first and only upscale tech-infused mini golf experience featuring craft cocktails, local beers, and dishes inspired by flavors from around the world, opened another U.S. location this month located in the heart of Boston’s bustling Seaport neighborhood.

Puttshack Boston will expand across two-floor levels, covering more than 26,000 square feet. This new location will feature four highly engaging and competitive nine-hole mini golf courses, accentuated by floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views of the waterfront and a high-energy, upscale nightclub vibe featuring local DJs.

The Social Environment

A leading concept in the emerging and growing market of competitive socializing,  founded by the creators of TopGolf, Fight Club, and AceBounce, Puttshack combines its patented Trackaball™ technology with a first-class, immersive social environment to elevate the game of mini golf into a cutting-edge, high-energy experience with world-class cuisine.

While the game may draw many guests in, the food helps make them brand ambassadors. A few of their delectable offerings include wood-fired Thai octopus, Mediterranean lamb skewers, Korean bao buns, and shitake mushroom potstickers. As you can see, their brand is strong on global influences, a continuing trend in today’s restaurants.

Today, it’s expanding at a rapid pace and using data analytics to do it. Emerging Concepts, their national representative, helps them scope out the best sites based on extensive data and then hit the ground running. Puttshack completed a growth capital round of $60 million led by Promethean Investments in 2021. In addition, the brand recently received $150 million in growth capital from BlackRock, funding significant expansion in the U.S.

It’s clear that Puttshack is a leading concept in the expanding market of competitive socializing.

How long does it take to play Puttshack?

There are nine holes in a game, and each round of golf at Puttshack lasts about 30 minutes. This can vary depending on the number of people in your group and how busy the venue is.

Do you have to be 18 to play golf at Puttshack?

No! That said, age policies differ between the U.K. and the U.S. In the U.K., children under 13 cannot enter the venue without an adult in attendance, and anyone under 18 cannot be in the establishment after 7 p.m. or 9 p.m., depending on the location.

In the U.S., the last tee time for those under 21 is 7 p.m., and they are not allowed in the venue after 8 p.m.

Does Puttshack serve signature cocktails?

As with its food menu, it boasts a range of signature cocktails and mocktails. The recently opened Miami location offers beverages like spiced pineapple Mezcal margarita, Hennessy Island, and smokin’ painkiller. The latter contains Pusser’s British navy rum, Don Q 151 rum, fresh orange and pineapple juices, and coconut cream served in a nutmeg smoke-filled wooden chest.

For those wondering how difficult it is to drink while playing, tables are situated at each hole to ensure it’s a relaxing and enjoyable occasion.
